Wijkplaats is a company focused on bringing out-of-the-box thinking to otherwise quite conventional real-estate industry practices. Lead by Marc van Leent & Theo van Wijk, both entrepreneurs in their respective fields, Wijkplaats brings together a multitude of parties who are or should be involved in the planning and development of districts, raising the bar way beyond "simple" real-estate development.

Let's first consider the blue print: Wijkplaats.nu is modular, even micro-modular if you will. Information modules in the visual form of (business) cards have to be dynamically added, customized and are divided in multiple catagories (ranging from ideas, projects to personal information).

When we joined the project, the design was almost finished. Our priority: implementing the design, creating a flexibele administration system (CMS) that works flawlessly with thousands of "card" entries and enhancing the design by implementing a flash module that animates the full website and creates a more natural and enjoyable experience for the visitor.
